Who we are

This website is run by the Stokesley Pool League. In this policy, we and us mean the league. If you have any questions about your information, please use the contact page.

What information we collect and why

Messages you send us

If you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you type in. We use them only to reply to you. The message is emailed to the league administrator and kept in their email account for as long as it is needed to deal with your enquiry.

News and updates emails

If you sign up for news and updates, your email address is sent to Mailchimp, the service we use to send league emails. We use it only to send you league news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, and you stay on the list until you do. Mailchimp may handle information outside the UK. You can read how they look after it in their privacy notice.

Website statistics

If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and what type of device is used. Nothing is sent to Google Analytics unless you accept. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. See our Cookie Policy.

Players, results and photos

The site publishes player names, match results, statistics and some photographs, such as league winners. This is part of running and celebrating the league. If you appear on the site and want something changed or removed, please contact us.

Security

The site uses a security tool that records technical details such as IP addresses and failed login attempts, to protect the site from misuse.

Maps and links

The map in the join section loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, so OpenStreetMap can see your IP address when the map loads. Links to Facebook and other sites take you to their own services, with their own privacy notices. Fonts on this site are hosted on the site itself, so they are not loaded from Google.

Our lawful basis

We handle your messages, and the results and photos published on the site, because it is in our legitimate interest to run the league and to reply to people who contact us. We rely on your consent for news emails and for statistics cookies, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

How long we keep information

• Enquiry emails: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
• News subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
• Results and statistics: kept as part of the league history.
• Your cookie choice: 12 months, then you will be asked again.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your information. It is handled for us by Mailchimp (news emails), Google (Analytics, only with your consent) and the companies that host the website and handle our email.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To do any of this, please use the contact page.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
